Credit Suisse is getting serious about the Nordic markets with the appointment of a specialist targeting the Nordic institutional markets, though it has stopped short of opening an office in the region.
Peter Lindgren, the company’s new head of institutional distribution for the Nordic and Baltic regions, will be based in London and will have the task of improving the distribution of Credit Suisse’s asset management products in the Nordic region. Previously, Mr Lindgren spent eight years at Pimco, where he was in charge of business development in the same region as well as Russia.
Mr Lindgren will report to John Kremer, head of institutional distribution for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
JC Perrig, head of distribution for Credit Suisse’s asset management business, said his appointment, together with that of Peter Andersson to lead the company’s retail distribution in the region, was a sign of the importance of the Nordic markets to the company. “These new appointments reflect our commitment to strengthening the distribution in these important markets of our full range of traditional asset management products and capitalise on the fact that we are a market leader in alternatives.”
